Revolution 1. How many colonies were there by the time of the French and Indian War? - By the time of the French and Indian war in 1754-1763, the population has risen to approximately 1,5 million and there were 13 colonies stretching from Georgia in the South to New Hampshire in the north. 2. What was the slogan of the protesters in Boston? - The colonies would stand for “taxation without representation” 3. Where did the Revolutionary War begin? - It began in 1755, when some 700 British soldiers marched from Boston to Concord to seize a storehouse of guns and powder and to arrest two leaders of a possible revolution. The Americans knew they were coming, so when they got there the British was met by the local milita. The first shot fired in this encounter is referred to as ‘’the shot heard around the world’’. Eight colonists were killed and the Revolutionary war begun. 4. - These values are not just uniquely in Ameria, they do apply to other countries as well.

3. How do you view America? How does the Norwegian media present America?
- In Norway's media we often hear that America is an unjust country, we also hear that police officers shoot innocent people. They are violent and also steals. we also hear about kidnapping.

5. What are the values you find important? why?
-  I find all the values in the text important, because everybody needs democracy, the people need to have the power to decide. This gives them freedom, that's basicly life itself. Justice is also extremly important for me, because all people deserve to be treated the same way, no matter what. To be hospitatality is also really important because it makes the people feel accepted in the world or in the country. Being able to go where you want, when you want is also essential for a person. Finally, but not least i find love important, because love is a very important thing in life, it is important to love yourself and love others and have someone who loves you.

1. find information about the history of immigration in Norway. 

• Immigration to Norway has been going on at all times, as long as we can speak of a Norwegian statehood.
• According to the statistics in Norway, the immigrant population make up to 15,6 per cent of the population. 
• In 1992 the immigrant population in Norway was 183 000 peoples, 23 years later the number had risen to 815 000 peoples. 

2. Compare Norwegian immigration  to the British experience. Are the same groups represented?In which parts of the countries do we find immigrants? How large are immigrant groups in the two countries? which groups immigrate today? 

• In Norway it lives immigrants in all minucipalities. The highest share in Oslo and Drammen, where immigrants and norwegian-born to immigrant parents make up 32 and 27 percent of the population in 2015.
• Since 1945, immigration to the United Kingdom under British nationality law has been substantial, in particular from the Republic of Ireland and from the former colonies and territories of the British Empire such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Caribbean, South Africa, Kenya and Hong Kong.

The quote i have choosen:
''If you have never been hated by your child you have never been a parent'' - Bette Davis (1908- 89), american actress.
1. What does this quote say that you think is important?

I think it is important because i agree with it. When you are a parent you have  to do and say things your child not always agree with. That's how it is, they can't always be allowed to do whatever they want to do, even if they don't see what's wrong about it. Because if a parent never says no and always just let the child do what he or she wants to, they will never learn right and wrong. The child may hate you right now, don't understands you and think you are unfair, but when you continue to teach your child right and wrong, they will understand when they get older. They will look back to that moment and say to themselves ''mother was totally right, i should have listen to her without discussion''. Now they have learned and the child who is no longer a child will learn her or his child the same. The quote can motivate some parents in the world to stand on the things that they mean and not ''give up'' although it's hard that your child says it hates you. It's important to remember that sometimes it is the right things to say and do who is the toughest things to really do. So when you think something is hard to say no to and you know your child is going to be mad, you have to remember what is the best for the child in a long term.
